Join the stars of the legendary Vakhtangov State Academic Theatre of Russia and its legendary director, Rimas Tuminas, to learn about their U.S. Premiere of Anton Chekhov’s timeless classic, «Uncle Vanya» at New York City Center June 15−18, 2017.

The event is part of the 5th International Cherry Orchard Festival of the Arts, in partnership with Literary Theater Dialogue. The production is the winner of the Golden Mask award (equivalent of the Tony Awards). World-renowned director, Rimas Tuminas, and the leading actors Sergey Makovetskiy, Liudmila Maksakova and Vladimir Simonov, along with Festival’s executive producers, Maria Shclover and Irina Shabshis, are going to discuss the modern interpretation of Anton Chekhov’s timeless work, as well as talk about The Vakhtangov State Academic Theatre of Russia and its 90+ year old history. After the presentation, there will be an open Q&A session.
