Lucas Debargue, piano recital
“The full house roared to a standing ovation after Debargue finished his high-wire act. It was a natural reaction to a nearly flawless display of every sort of virtuosity a pianist can possess”.

The French piano phenomenon Lucas Debargue makes a hotly anticipated return to New York. Once described as a "Newsmaker" by the New York Times, following his sensational performance at the 15th International Tchaikovsky Competition, in 2020 Debargue’s recording of Scarlatti’s 52 Sonatas was praised by NPR as one of the "ten classical albums to usher in the new decade." The convention-defying pianist, lauded by audiences and critics worldwide for his virtuosity and musicality, will perform a program of his artistic milestones by Scarlatti, Ravel, Chopin, and Liszt in his Carnegie Hall solo recital debut.
